Mark McCallum
Mark is the principal at Taonui School and has been at Taonui School since 2015. He started as a relief principal and ended up staying. He starting his teaching career in 1997. Mark is passionate about learning and children achieving to their full potential. He is a practioner of restorative practices and loves to support the whole childs development.
In his spare time he loves boating, fishing and jet skiing with his family and friends. He loves travelling and is in his happy place on a lake.

Katrina McCallum
Katrina is the Deputy Principal at Taonui School and teaches in the Year 0/1 class. She is in charge of the classroom release for all classes in the school. Katrina has been teaching since 1997 in the Manawatū area and has been at Taonui School since 2013. She is passionate about teaching (especially in the junior school) and loves to see the delight when students make connections in their learning.
Katrina has a son who is studying at Auckland University. In her spare time she enjoys spending time at the lake with family, travelling and connecting with nature.

Ange Alford
Ange is the Assistant Principal at Taonui School and teaches the Year 7/8 class. Ange has been at Taonui School since 2010, she started as a part time teacher and eventually become full time. She starting teaching in 2000. Ange is passionate about teaching our Intermediate class and loves helping her students become risk takers and taking them on adventures out of the classroom. In her spare time Ange has 2 daughters which keep her busy and she loves travelling, going to concerts and reading.
Ange is also in charge of organising all our sports teams across the school.

Rebecca Gray
Rebecca is the Room 2 classroom teacher and SENCO at Taonui School. Rebecca began her teaching career at Taonui School in 2021. Rebecca is passionate about ensuring that all learners are happy and engaged in their learning. She loves to support her students to grow in their confidence, ability and maturity inside and out of the classroom.
In her spare time, Rebecca loves to play sports, spend time with family and friends, and explore the outdoors.

Sharon Conger
Sharon is the Room 1 classroom teacher at Taonui School. She has been at Taonui since 2021 as a Reading Recovery teacher, and this year she is back in the classroom teaching year 1 and 2's. She started her teaching career in 1998. Sharon is passionate about creating great foundations in literacy and numeracy with young children, so they are prepared and excited for their schooling journey.
In her spare time Sharon loves to spend time with her husband and 4 children, which includes travelling to see her 2 university age children who now live in Wellington and Christchurch. She loves movies, eating out and long walks with her dog Hugo.

Rebekah Bruce
Rebekah is the Room 3 classroom Teacher at Taonui School. Rebekah has been at Taonui School since the beginning of 2024. She has been teaching since 2013. Rebekah is passionate about teaching and loves to see the tamariki grow and develop.
In her spare time Rebekah has two young children who keep her busy and she loves spending time with friends and family, listening to music and reading lots of books.

Liz Bright
Liz Bright is the classroom teacher of Room 4, years 5 & 6. Liz joined Taonui School in 2024 coming from teaching at several local schools in the Feilding area and prior to this in the Taumarunui/Ohakune area. She started her teaching career in 2005. Liz enjoys teaching children at the senior school level and enabling them to have a growth mindset in all they do.
Liz has a daughter and son that attend Feilding High School. She enjoys being back in the Manawatū as this is where her family resides. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends, family and spending time in the outdoors.

Ange Lamb
Ange has recently moved from Wellington where she has had a fulfilling and varied teaching career as a teacher, team leader, AP, acting principal, ORS teacher and most recently DP/ SENCO. She started her teaching career in 1987. Ange is passionate about helping students in their learning and loves seeing the joy on a learner's face when they succeed in their learning, especially as they develop their early literacy and maths skills.
